Petronet LNG of India, operator of two import terminals on the West Coast, has signed an accord with Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), one of the nation’s largest gas companies and owner of a network of over 400 gas fuel filling stations, to cooperate on LNG infrastructure and distribution projects.

Panama is expected to become the newest LNG importer as the country prepares to take its first LNG shipment at the Costa Norte regasification facility at the port of Colon, near the entrance to the Panama Canal on the Atlantic Ocean.

Singapore LNG cargo indices stayed over the US$9.00 per million British thermal units mark, while North Asia and Dubai-Kuwait-India shipments are quoted higher than last week and at around $9.40 per MMBtu for delivery windows in August as the oil price helped maintain gas market momentum.

Golar LNG, the fleet owner and project company, reported mixed fortunes for the floating production ventures it is involved in offshore four nations in West Africa, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Senegal and Mauritania.
