Belgian and Spanish LNG terminals and gas network owners Fluxys and Enagas have signed an agreement to jointly sell their total stakes in Swedegas, the owner and operator of the high-pressure gas grid in Sweden and a growing participant in the LNG fuel market.

Energy World Corp., the Hong Kong-based and Australian-listed LNG developer, reported mixed preliminary full-year results as it progressed with its Philippines LNG and power hub and small-scale liquefaction plant at Sengkang in Indonesia where its production sharing contract is expected to be renewed.

South Korean power operators have seen the cost of coal-fired power increase to narrow its differential with liquefied natural gas and because of its environmental burden, thermal coal can no longer be regarded as a cheap option in Asia.

Texas LNG, one of several LNG export projects being developed on the Gulf Coast near the port of Brownsville, said it was one of the ventures provided with anticipated dates for issuance of an environmental impact statement and a final regulatory deadline under the new speeded-up process.
