Cheniere Energy, the US Sabine Pass LNG export plant owner in Louisiana and the developer of the Corpus Christi facility in Texas, posted first-quarter LNG revenues of $2.16 billion, almost double the $1.14Bln in income earned during the same three months of 2017 as more liquefaction capacity came on stream.

India attracted 110 bids for its first open-acreage round for oil and natural gas exploration and production licences for 55 blocks onshore and offshore as the nation also continued to build its LNG import volumes to meet rising demand and to expand energy infrastructure.

Singapore LNG cargo indices are holding up well and are above the US$7.00 per million British thermal units mark from the first half of June through to the second half of July, while North Asia shipments for all June and July windows are over $8.00 per MMBtu.
