Williams Companies, a leading US natural gas pipelines operator, reported strong third-quarter results and a 10 percent increase in net profits as projects progressed including the provision of feed-gas to Gulf Coast LNG export plants.

ConocoPhillips, one of the pioneers of LNG in Alaska, has agreed to acquire onshore oil and gas company Concho Resources in an all-stock deal for $9.7 billion plus debts to create a complementary acreage positions in key Northern American basins.

Marathon Oil said the onshore Equatorial Guinea liquefaction and export plant on Bioko Island produced 5,541 tonnes of LNG per day during the first quarter amid planned maintenance activities as it reiterated its openness to offers of third-party feed-gas volumes.
