US engineering company, McDermott, via a consortium with Saipem and China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corp, has been awarded the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for Mozambique’s Rovuma LNG Phase 1 project. Rovuma is a joint venture between ExxonMobil Development Africa, Eni and CNODC Dutch Cooperatief.
Houston-based Cheniere Energy’s Jack Fusco wants to set the rules to measure LNG’s environmental impact. This would be achieved by utilising methane tracking technologies and the company’s position as the US’ top LNG exporter. 
Malaysian energy giant,  and Japanese trading house Mitsubishi Corp have signed new investment agreements for Malaysia LNG’s ‘Dua’ and ‘Tiga’ lasting for the next decade.  Mitsubishi Corp extended its 10% equity shareholding in MLNG ‘Dua’, and reinvested 10% cent equity shareholding in MLNG ‘Tiga’.
