Asian LNG spot rates were described as flat last week, due to muted demand in northeast Asia.
The average estimated price for November deliveries into the region was $13.10 per MMBtu, industry sources told Reuters.
European storage levels were said to be about 93% full, which is likely to remain unchanged until the temperatures drop.
Japanese major utilities’ inventories were put at 1.64 mill tonnes on 22nd September, compared to 1.87 mill tonnes the week before.
The lower inventory level could persuade Japanese energy companies to enter the market ahead of the winter.
In Europe, S&P Global Commodity Insights assessed the daily North West Europe LNG Marker for cargoes delivered in November at $12.38 per MMBtu, a 0.22 cent discount to the TTF hub on 26th September.
As for freight rates, the Atlantic levels fell to $57,750 per day on Friday, Spark Commodities said, while Pacific rates continued to decline to $64,000 per day, the largest drop week-on-week since January.
