Japan is considering providing assistance to companies signing long-term LNG import deals.  This move comes as the government tries to secure a stable supply of LNG as energy security becomes a major global issue, Japanese media outlet NHK reported.

Dynagas LNG Partners has reported net income and earnings per common unit (basic and diluted) of $22.5 mill and $0.43, respectively, for the first half of this year. Adjusted net income was $24.7 mill and adjusted earnings per common unit was $0.50, while adjusted EBITDA came in at  $57.6 mill.

Vietnam’s PV GAS has started to operate the first LNG train on the country’s north/south railway. The PetroVietnam subsidiary announced that a train carrying 16 ISO tanks with LNG was due to reach Dong Anh Station in Hanoi.

QatarEnergy has signed a contract with China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC) for the construction of another six  QC-Max LNGCs. This brings the total number of LNG vessels on order under its fleet expansion programme to 128, including 24 QC-Max mega vessels, the Qatari energy giant said.

Last Friday, US Federal regulators granted Venture Global LNG permission to begin preparations for the start-up of the LNG equipment at its Plaquemines export plant in Louisiana.
The US State Department has announced further restrictions on two more entities and two LNGCs allegedly connected to attempts to export LNG from the US sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project.  Two companies, Gotik Energy Shipping (Gotik) and Plio Energy Cargo Shipping (Plio Energy), were sanctioned.
