Canada has taken a step closer to signing a Free Trade Agreement with South Korea, the world's second-largest LNG buyer, and a potential customer and investor in liquefaction projects, particularly in the province of British Columbia.

Cheniere Energy's Corpus Christi LNG export project took a major step towards approval as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission concluded that the proposed facility to be located in Texas at the north end of the La Quinta Channel would not pose a significant environmental risk.
