Origin Energy, the company partnering ConocoPhillips and China's Sinopec in developing the Australia Pacific coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project in Queensland, said the upstream and downstream parts of the venture were 70 percent complete.

Stolt-Nielsen Ltd of Norway, along with SunLNG Holding Ltd. and LNGaz Ltd. have agreed to form a new start-up focused on the development of small-scale LNG liquefaction and logistics services in Bécancour, Québec, Canada.

E.ON, the German power generation and natural gas production business, and Qatari LNG producer RasGas have signed a medium-term contract for the supply of LNG cargoes to the UK Isle of Grain import terminal, located 45 miles southeast of London.

Awilco LNG, the Norwegian cargo market player with five vessels, said carriers with tri-fuel, diesel-electric propulsion commanded spot charter rates of up to $98,000 per day at the start of the first quarter but just $64,000 per day by the end of the three months.
