Largest Japanese LNG buyer considers joint venture contracts and three new plants

The largest Japanese LNG buyer, Tokyo Electric Power Co., is proposing new joint venture LNG supply agreements with other leading domestic utilities as it plans three new gas-fired power plants in Chiba with a combined output equivalent to nine nuclear reactors and costing over $3 billion.
