Mozambique President Daniel Chapo claimed yesterday that the conditions had been met for TotalEnergies to lift its force majeure on its $20 bill, 13 mill mill tonnes per annum LNG project in the country.

“Full exports from Arctic LNG 2 would crash the TTF,” Energy Aspects warns, arguing European gas markets would not be able to absorb the wave of additional supply without requiring US LNG shut-ins to balance.

Italian energy group Eni is expected to take a final investment decision (FID) on Mozambique's second FLNG at an event to be held in Maputo today.

Yesterday, Dunkerque LNG terminal operator, Fluxys declared force majeure at the terminal until the early hours of tomorrow morning, as delivery capacity is expected to be affected for two days by the French national trade union strike.
