Oct 3 (LNGJ) - Natural gas demand in Spain, Europe’s biggest LNG importer, increased by 13 percent in September compared with the same month a year ago. “So far this year, demand for natural gas in Spain has increased by more than 9 percent, due to growth in conventional demand (4.5 percent) and natural gas deliveries to power generation plants (around 33 percent),” said Enagas, Spain’s network operator and main LNG import terminal owner. Enagas added that industrial demand was growing at around 7 percent compared with 2016 and demand for natural gas for electricity generation in September reached 7,085 gigawatt hours.
