March 30 (LNGJ) - Bear Paw Pipeline Corp., the Nova Scotia LNG export plant pipeline company owned by Australian firm LNG Ltd., has applied for a permit from the Canadian province’s environmental agency. The company is proposing to construct and operate a 62.5 kilometres natural gas pipeline from Goldboro in Nova Scotia to the planned Bear Head LNG plant at Point Tupper in Richmond County. “We are committed to completing the Bear Paw pipeline project in a manner that protects the natural and cultural environment,” said Maurice Brand, Managing Director of LNG Ltd. “We are putting all the elements in place, with Bear Paw pipeline being one of them, to develop a successful LNG export facility on Cape Breton Island,” Brand added.
