Taiwan's government has announced that it will increase US LNG imports from June of this year, as new supply contracts have been signed.
The government also said that it was working to resolve the disruptions caused by the Middle East war.
In a statement it said that the economy ministry tracked international crude oil prices and inventories on a daily basis.
The ministry monitors incoming cargoes’ shipping schedules to ensure that it has a full understanding of international crude oil supply and natural gas conditions.
Taiwan's domestic gas and petroleum inventories are above the required levels, according to the statement.
It also said that the ministry's plan included advanced cargo rescheduling and Asian regional cargo re-allocation. Spot market purchases were also part of the plan, Reuters reported.
