Italian offshore engineering company, Saipem is to conduct commissioining services for GOE Petrol Sanayi’s Osman Gazi FPU.
This FPU will be utilised for the development of the Sakarya gas field located in the Turkish Black Sea.
The award follows the operation readiness & assurance support services contract awarded to Saipem in April, 2026 and further strengthens the company’s involvement in one of the most significant energy projects currently under development in Türkiye, the company said.
Sakarya, discovered in August, 2020 and developed by Turkish Petroleum Corp (TPAO), is located around 170 km offshore in the Black Sea, at a water depth of around 2,150 m.
Saipem’s contribution is expected to last for around eight months.
