Skangass, the Norwegian LNG and natural gas company, has decided to build Finland's first LNG import terminal at the port of Pori in the west of the country to be completed in 2016.

The Government of Gibraltar has signed a memorandum of understanding with Royal Dutch Shell that could lead to the Rock becoming the world's smallest LNG importer.

Dominion, the energy and pipeline company developing the Cove Point LNG export project in the state of Maryland, said the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission had finally given approval to construct and operate the facility overlooking Chesapeake Bay and which will ship cargoes to India and Japan.

GasLog Ltd, the Monaco-based LNG carrier owner and operator listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has completed the transfer of ownership of two carriers to affiliate GasLog Partners LP as part of a strategy to raise funds and expand.
