The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is seeking public comment on whether a federal environmental assessment is required for the Grassy Point LNG project being developed by Woodside Petroleum, the largest Australian LNG plant operator.

Brittany Ferries of France said it had cancelled plans to build an LNG-fuelled vessel and to convert three of its existing ships to run on LNG at a cost of $340 million to meet new European emissions regulations and instead will use the less expensive gas exhaust cleaner system.

EDF Trading, the France-based firm, named former Goldman Sachs executive Christopher McKey as Head of Business Development in North America, covering LNG and other markets out of Houston.
