The Magnolia LNG project being developed on Louisiana by Australian company LNG Ltd. said it was still trying to sell 6 million tonnes per annum of LNG in the form of tolling agreements or straight volume sales.

Pacific Northwest LNG, the Canadian venture being developed by Malaysia's Petronas, is facing protests led by some members of a native North American First Nation tribe with traditional rights around the site of the planned liquefaction plant site on Lelu Island, near Prince Rupert.

Woodside Petroleum, the largest Australian liquefied natural gas operator, said it was "surprised and disappointed" that the Papua New Guinea LNG stakeholding company, Oil Search Ltd., had rejected its takeover bid.

The Australian LNG project being developed near Darwin by Japan's Inpex Corp. and France's Total has pushed back its commercial start-up by up to nine months and completion costs have increased by around 10 percent to $US37.5 billion.
