The US Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland owned by power and energy company Dominion has now completed 10 percent of the project and 80 percent of the equipment has been secured to transform the existing import facility on Chesapeake Bay into an exporter of cargoes to Japan and India.
Origin Energy, the upstream partner in the Australian Pacific LNG venture led by operator ConocoPhillips and including Sinopec of China, said the venture was moving towards production and would not cost more than the $25 billion budget.
