Oct 21 (LNGJ) - UK energy and utility group Centrica said it agreed to charter a 180,000 cubic metres capacity LNG vessel from Monaco-based US-listed GasLog Ltd. For a seven year period starting in late 2019. Jonathan Westby, Co-Managing Director of Energy Marketing and Trading at Centrica, said “I am delighted that we are able to conclude this long-term charter agreement with GasLog and we look forward to building a successful partnership with them as Centrica continues to develop its presence in the global LNG market.” The delivery of the GasLog vessel is expected to coincide with first commercial delivery of the Centrica 20-year US supply contract with the Cheniere Energy Sabine Pass plant.
