Oct 20 (LNGJ) - Skangas, the Norwegian unit of Finnish natural gas company Gasum, has signed an agreement with Statoil of Norway for the delivery of LNG to fuel the oil company’s small vessel fleet, including several platform supply vessels and tugs in Norwegian waters. The LNG will be delivered to Statoil from several bases along the Norwegian west coast and to tugs based at the port of Karsto. The agreement is valid from April 2017 until the end of 2020, with an option for an extension. The contract award followed a tendering process involving several LNG suppliers. “We see this agreement as a recognition of our daily work and a confirmation of a good relationship with Statoil,” said Tor Morten Osmundsen, Chief Executive of Skangas.
