April 17 (LNGJ) - Evergas, the Danish shipping company with a fleet of 25 vessels including small-scale multigas-LNG carriers, has named Steffen Jacobsen as its new Chief Executive to replace Martin Ackermann. Jacobsen joined Evergas in February 2015 as Vice President of the fleet after almost 35 years with Maersk, including as head of Maersk Tankers for nine years. Jacques de Chateauvieux , Chairman of Evergas parent company Jaccar Holdings, said of the appointment: "I wish to thank Martin Ackermann for his leadership of Evergas through periods of financial and operational challenges as well as a period of rapid growth. Martin has decided to move on and the timing is right for Evergas to have a change in leadership. We are pleased to appoint Mr Jacobsen who brings a solid ballast of leadership and industry experience."
