Mar 27 (LNGJ) - Excelerate Energy's LNG regasification vessel "Exquisite" has arrived at Port Qasim, near the city of Karachi, with Pakistan's first liquefied natural gas delivery from Qatar. The Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) left the Qatar export terminal at Ras Laffan on March 21. The "Exquisite" has been chartered by EngroVopak to be used as an import facility at Port Qasim for 15 years. The cargo on the 147,000 cubic metres capacity vessel was being transferred into the dockside system called Terminal Pakistan for regasification and delivery into the Sui Southern Gas Co. natural gas pipeline network. The LNG will initially be provided to four Independent power producers in the province of Punjab.
