Jan 23 (LNGJ) - French LNG player GDF-Suez has opened a natural gas and power trading floor in Rome with the creation of GDF-Suez Trading Italia. The France-based company ranks among the main energy players in Italy, with a presence throughout the value chain while marketing natural gas and power to over 1.3 million customers. Charles Hertoghe will be branch manager of GDF-Suez Trading Italia, while day-to-day operations will be run by Christophe de Branche, Head of Trading and Origination. The initial team will consist of six traders and two originators. Most support functions will be handled from Paris and Brussels.
