Thailand has imported 10 LNG cargoes since its first facility went into operation in June 2011 at Map Ta Phud. However, the terminal handled ust one LNG cargo in October, which came from Nigeria, cutsoms data said. Just after the terminal opened it provided additional gas to replace some lost when an offshore pipeline went out of action.
