Some 31 LNGCs sailed from US export terminals during the week ending 5th August, down four week-on-week.

Their LNG-carrying capacity was 119 bill cu ft, a drop of 16 bill cu ft from the previous week.

Seven vessels departed from Sabine Pass, six from Plaquemines, five from Corpus Christi, four from Cameron, three from Calcasieu Pass, two each from Elba Island and Freeport, and one each from Cove Point and Golden Pass terminals, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The fall in the number of sailings could be due to maintenance programmes underway at various plants.
