US FSRU owner, Excelerate Energy has bought an LNGC for around $79 mill.
The company acquired the 170,000 cu m, 2010-built ‘Methane Mickie Harper’ from Japan's Meiji Shipping.
The tri-fuel diesel-electric (TFDE) vessel is to be converted into an FSRU.
This deal was seen as part of Excelerate's broader initiative to expand its FSRU and infrastructure capabilities.
