The spate of recent LNGC orders won by South Korean shipyards has had a knock on effect for equipment suppliers.
For example, tank containment system designer, GTT has announced that it has received an order from HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) for the tank design of three new LNGCs.
The 174,000 cu m LNGCs will be built by HD Hyundai Samho for Greek shipowner Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp.
They will be equipped with cryogenic tanks featuring the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.
Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for between the third quarter of 2028 and the first quarter of 2029.
