Adding to the 10 LNGC tank design contracts received in the last month or so, French engineering and design company, GTT has won an order for the tank designs of another two LNGCs.
GTT will design the cryogenic tanks of the 174,000 cu m vessels, which are to be built at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for an undisclosed shipowner.
They will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
Delivery of the vessels is expected in 2028, the company said.
