Starting on 6th October and lasting to the 10th of this month, scheduled maintenance and repair work are taking place at German state owned Deutsche Energy Terminal’s (DET) LNG Terminal Wilhelmshaven 1.
In addition to long-planned measures, minor repairs that can only be carried out during a shutdown will be performed during this period.
Dirk Lindgens, DET’s Head of Communications, explained: “The work is deliberately scheduled at the beginning of autumn to ensure smooth operations throughout the winter.”
During the maintenance period, the FSRU ‘Hoegh Esperanza’ will remain at her berth. Neither local shipping traffic nor terminal safety will be affected.
DET further explained that these measures were part of the terminal’s regular maintenance programme and were intended to ensure the long-term reliability of the entire facility.
