Major LNGC player, Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp (CCEC) announced at its Annual Meeting of Shareholders, held in Piraeus on 22nd September, 2025, that Abel Rasterhoff had retired from the Board and Martin Houston had joined as his successor.
Commenting, Jerry Kalogiratos, CCEC CEO, said: “Today marks an important milestone in the evolution of CCEC as we refresh our Board for the next stage of the company’s growth.
“On behalf of the company, I would like to express our deep gratitude to Abel Rasterhoff for his invaluable contributions since our Nasdaq listing in 2007.
“Abel’s wisdom, guidance, and steady support have been instrumental in shaping CCEC, and we wish him a well-deserved and fulfilling retirement.
“We are also delighted to welcome Martin Houston to our Board. Martin’s decades of leadership in global LNG and energy markets will provide critical insight and support as CCEC accelerates its strategy around LNG and the energy transition.
“His deep industry experience and strong credibility will be invaluable as we pursue our growth ambitions,” he concluded.
Houston is currently Chairman of Omega Oil and Gas and is a non-executive Director of Energean, BUPA Arabia, CC Energy, and Singapore GasCo.
He is also Senior Advisor at Moelis & Co.
In October 2024, he resigned as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Tellurian. following the company’s sale to Woodside.
Previously, in 2014, he had retired from BG Group as COO and Executive Director after a 32-year career.
