Houston-based Audubon Companies, a provider of EPC, owner’s engineering, fabrication, and field services, has been selected as owner’s engineer and advisor for AMIGO LNG’s new LNG export terminal in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico.
The project, developed by AMIGO LNG, a joint venture between Epcilon LNG and LNG Alliance, will have a capacity of 7.8 mill tonnes per annum and will leverage on its proximity to the US Permian Basin to deliver LNG to high-growth markets globally.
As owner’s engineer and advisor, Audubon will oversee detailed engineering, procurement, equipment manufacturing, package fabrication, local Mexico construction, commissioning/startup, and operations activities.
Audubon will also continue to support the AMIGO LNG project team with technical assurance, optimising resource utilisation, and mitigating risks.
The company will also support LNG Alliance in contractor selection and performance oversight, ensuring efficient technology integration, streamlined execution, and modular construction for all onshore and nearshore components, Audubon said..
