South Korean engineering company, SNT Energy has signed an additional supply contract to supply air coolers worth Won36.6 bill to Bechtel.
They will be fitted in Woodside’s Louisiana LNG project.
This is an extension of the Won71.8 bill contract to supply air coolers for this project agreed in December last year.
Bechtel is Louisiana LNG’s design, procurement, and construction (EPC) developer, while SNT will look after the air cooler production.
SNT said that the US LNG combined thermal power plant (HRSG) market is a new growth engine, as the demand for LNG combined cycle power plants was increasing, due to the recent surge in power demand for AI and data centres.
An SNT Energy official said, "We will expand the supply of equipment, such as HRSG, to the US LNG combined cycle power plant market to create synergy with air cooler and further solidify our position in the US energy market."
