Australian shipments fall

Australia’s August, shipments fell to 80.7 mill tonnes per annum on an annualised basis, compared to 81.1 mill tonne for the calendar year 2023 and 76.6 mill for July, 2024. 

The August shipments represented 91.1% of nameplate capacity.

Australian energy advisory firm, EnergyQuest estimated that the country’s LNG export revenue in August was $5.57 bill, higher than the $5.13 bill in July, but reflecting a 5.1% decrease, compared to August, 2023 when revenue was $5.87 bill. 

Western Australian projects earned export revenue of $3.43 bill, Queensland projects brought in $1.67 bill, and New Territories projects earned $0.47 bill.
