Feb 18 (LNGJ) - Marathon Oil, operator of the Equatorial Guinea LNG in West Africa, said the Alba field compression project remains on budget and on schedule to start up by mid-year and will extend plateau production by two years as well as the asset's life by up to eight years. The liquefaction plant on Bioko Island has been in operation since 2006 and produces 3.7 million tonnes per annum from a single Train and the feed-gas comes from the Alba field.
