Dec 4 (LNGJ) - The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG), the industry lobbying group based in Washington DC, welcomed the passage of the North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act of 2015 by the House of Representatives. The energy bill will help bring regulatory certainty to the Department of Energy's (DOE) permitting process for LNG projects, by requiring the department to issue a final decision on any application to export cargoes no later than 30 days after the conclusion of a project's National Environmental Policy Act review. "The passage will bring clarity to the LNG export permitting process by implementing a clear deadline for DoE to act on applications," the CLNG said.
