Aug 12 (LNGJ) - The 10 major Japanese electricity companies consumed 4.68 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas at their gas-fired power plants in July compared with 5.04MT in the same month a year ago, a fall of 7 percent, according to figures from the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan. The utilities, operating from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south, imported 4.67MT during the month compared with 4.99MT in July 2014, a fall of 6.4 percent.
