Aug 11 (LNGJ) - JGC Corp., the Japanese engineering and construction company, said its overseas backlog of LNG contracts in the first quarter of fiscal 2016 amounted to 976 billion yen ($7.8Bln) compared with 1.07 trillion yen in the previous quarter. Overseas LNG contract sales in the three months amounted to 104.6Bln yen. In the domestic Japanese LNG business where the company builds import terminals and infrastructure, JGC said there was a 26.2 billion yen backlog at the end of the 2015 fiscal year compared with 24.6Bln in the first quarter of the 2016 fiscal year.
