Gas production in the United States grew by 4 percent, or 5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) last year, to average 125 Bcf/d and analysts expect the upward trend to continue in 2024, albeit with a more modest pace. Dry gas production is forecast at about 103 Bcf/d this year because of low prices and a relatively stable rig count.
