New Fortress Energy is set to achieve maiden cargoes for both its Altamira FLNG project in Mexico and its new Terminal Gas Sul (TGS) facility Brazil as the LNG carrier Orion Sun is set to deliver 0.07mmt, according to our data. The company expects the TGS facility to become instrumental in the reliable energy supply to Brazil’s southern region whilst control over its own liquefaction capacity should help secure LNG flows. According to our data, LNG exports to Brazil already stood at almost half those for the full year of 2023 and the inauguration of new import capacity could accelerate that growth.
