The development of Russia’s Arctic LNG 2 project continues. In particular, financing, which had looked shaky a year ago due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has been reported by shareholders to be progressing apace. Lead project partner Novatek expects Arctic LNG 2’s commissioning to take place either late 2023 or early 2024. Meanwhile, Russian LNG exports lag their 2022 counterparts.
