A decision by the UK’s National Grid to adopt a policy to temporarily, but at short notice, limit available transmission capacity when deemed necessary has resulted in a sharp drop in LNG imports via the country’s two Welsh terminals.
Cargoes landed at South Hook and Dragon LNG are not only intended for the domestic market but are also fed into continental Europe’s transmission system.
