LNG spot cargo prices lost their momentum in the past week with December 2019 and January 2020 deliveries being set up and averages for North Asia dropping under the $7.00 per million British thermal units level as supplies were ample.

McDermott International, the US LNG and energy engineering company, said it won a sizeable fabrication sub-contract for the Greater Tortue-Ahmeyim natural gas development offshore Mauritania and Senegal to underpin floating LNG ventures led by BP of the UK and Dallas, Texas-based Kosmos Energy.

Chart Industries, the maker of equipment for the liquefied natural gas and industrial gas industries, and Energy Capital Vietnam, a southeast Asian-focused asset management firm, have signed an accord to promote the distribution of liquefied natural gas within Vietnam with Chart as the supplier of downstream equipment.

IEnova, the Mexican subsidiary of California-based utility Sempra Energy and developer of the Costa Azul LNG export terminal on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, said third-quarter earnings declined, though it expected future profits from the commercial start-up of the new natural gas pipeline from Texas to Mexico.
