Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd. said its Fisherman’s Landing coal-seam LNG project in the Australian state of Queensland signed an agreement to secure a site from the Gladstone Port Authority.

Cheniere Energy, owner of the new Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana, saw second-quarter losses more than triple to $132.3 million from $41M last year, and said the final price tag of its facility was $1.56 billion.

The first loading of LNG into a Qatargas 216,000 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex LNG carrier has taken place for the first time outside the Middle East state and the cargo is being delivered to Mexico.

France’s Total said it made another gas discovery in the Browse basin of Western Australia, reaffirming its belief in the potential of the area from where the company and Japan’s Inpex are planning to source feed gas for the Ichthys LNG project.
