Technip buying robotics stake to boost FLNG aims

Technip, the LNG and energy engineering company, is taking a large stake in French company Cybernétix, whose 150 engineers and technicians operate robotics in deep sea environments where Technip is boosting its presence in areas such as Floating LNG.

Technip said it had received commitments from three parties, Askoad Conseil, Comex SA and Sercel Holding for all of their interests in the share capital of Cybernétix, amounting to 45.7 percent of the company.
