Royal Dutch Shell has purchased a site north of Vancouver with LNG project partners to serve as the location for an LNG export plant to send Canadian natural gas to customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
The acquisition by Shell Canada is close to an existing LNG export project at Kitimat in British Columbia already being built by a consortium of Apache Corp. and EOG Resources of the US, and Encana Corp of Canada.
