US West Coast LNG export plan put on slow track

A fifth US LNG export project proposal has been made in the West Coast state of Oregon by the developers of an LNG import terminal that was never built because of the shale-gas boom and subsequent US gas surplus.

Jordan Cove Energy Project has just filed an application with the US Department of Energy for an LNG export licence for a facility on the same site at Coos Bay as its previously planned import terminal.
