Sovcomflot delays IPO but keeps LNG plan on track

Sovcomflot, the Russian fleet owner and operator of six LNG carriers, has delayed its planned sale of shares to private investors to move out of state ownership because of the current market conditions.

Sergey Naryshkin, board chairman, said: “Sovcomflot will continue preparatory work for taking the company public, with a target to complete the main pre-sale preparations by the end of 2011.
