Technip's $1Bln US takeover to help FLNG strategy

Technip, one of the world’s leading LNG engineering companies, has agreed to pay more than $1 billion for US-based subsea specialists Global Industries, a transaction that will enhance the Paris-based company’s Floating LNG project capabilities.

Technip said it was paying $8 in cash for every outstanding share of Global, a 55 percent premium over the closing share price on September 9.
