QGC, a unit of BG Group and developer of the Queensland Curtis coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project in Australia, said it had to establish a safety zone around a well head that was damaged and began leaking gas.

The incident happened during set-up operations for a drilling rig at the company’s Berwyndale South gas field, about 20 kilometres south-east of the town of Miles, the CSG explorer said.
